Vertu Ascent X

New Vertu Ascent X rumours

FCC filings have revealed that there will be a new addition to the Vertu Ascent range

A recent filing with the FCC suggests that a new handset, known as the Ascent X, is on its way from the Nokia-owned luxury phone brand, Vertu.

As is often the case with FCC filings, not many of the technical specifications have been given away.

Even so, we do know that the Ascent X that passed through the FCC's hands offered support for Quad-band HSPA 800/850/1900/2100Mhz connectivity – a rarity on many handsets, let alone ultra-high end models.

Whilst we don't have any more specifics the inclusion of Quad-band HSPA gives us some hope that other essential smartphone specs haven't been completely overlooked.

The documents state that, “the model is available in a number of cosmetic finishes, where substituted on a like for like basis, Metal for Metal, RF Neutral/leather and cover materials for the same in a variety of colors and finishes (Mat/polished/color etc)”, which left us scratching our heads a bit.

Either way, the Ascent X is sure to come dripping in a choice of extravagant and opulent materials, so consider our interest piqued, Vertu.
